Interviewing
Interviewing For a New Job
You stayed true to your strategy. You did your homework. Created the greatest résumé and cover letter possible. You’re waiting with bated breath to find out if you’ve been chosen for an interview, and suddenly it happens: you’re in! If this is your first time interviewing or even if you’re a seasoned pro, now is the time to brush up on the skills you’ll need for a successful face-to-face meeting.
The interview is a chance for both you and the possible employer to learn more about each other, reaffirm goals, and ask questions. Before you step into an office or shake an interviewer’s hand, you should be prepared to back up your resume with positive statements about yourself and your experience. What’s more, you need to prove your professionalism and demonstrate that you can handle anything they send your way.
